Wolverhampton: Baccarat showed plenty of promise on his belated debut finishing third in the 32Red Median Auction Maiden Stakes. Drawn wide in stall 11 the smartly bred son of Dutch Art was slowly into stride but ran on nicely under Paul (Hanagan) to get within three and three quarter lengths of the winner.

Never long out of the winner’s enclosure, Paul gave TAROOQ a cracking ride to land the 32RedBet.com Handicap by a neck. Consistent all year, Tarooq, a five-year-old gelding by War Chant was notching up his third success of 2011.

Majestic Myles and Pip arrived back at Musley Bank Stables around 3.30pm. In high spirits despite being exhausted from the long and arduous two day journey home our globetrotting three-year-old looked in great shape as he stepped off the horse box and is obviously none the worse for his gallant effort in the Group 1 Macau International Sand Premier Cup.

Nov 23rd:

Nov 18th:

MACAU: Majestic Myles put in a gallant effort under challenging conditions and from the worst possible draw to finish seventh in the Macau International Sand Premier Cup.

Talking to Racing Post afterwards Richard said:

"It was always going to be a big ask for Myles from his draw out widest in gate 12.

Maybe if he had been drawn a little better he could have been third or fourth at best, because he had to be used up a bit to get a decent position. Paul said he was a bit new as well under the lights here, maybe a bit inexperienced. I probably should have tried him at Wolverhampton to get him used to it! But it was great to come and give it a go and I'd like to thank everyone at the Macau Jockey Club."

Haydock: Our Joe Mac ran a cracker on his hurdling debut to finish second, beaten only a length and a half by odds-on shot Molotof, in the Listed timeform.betfair.com Novices' Hurdle under Brian Hughes.

At Wolverhampton Mighty Clarets partnered by Dave Nolan ran third in the 32Red Handicap.

Nov 16th:

Hexham: Richard has won with three of just five runners at Hexham in the past five seasons and PHILHARMONIC HALL kept that strike rate in tact when running out a comfortable winner of the Ramside Event Catering Juvenile Maiden Hurdle in the hands of Brian Hughes. A promising third on his hurdling debut at Haydock three weeks ago Brian had the three-year-old handy throughout, taking up the lead two out, staying on well to score by eight lengths.

Nov 15th:

Southwell: HURLER AND FARMER, third on his debut eighteen days ago, showed he had come on for the run with a nice performance in the 32RedBingo.com Median Auction Maiden Stakes. Sharp out of the gate and racing prominent throughout, the son of Red Clubs stayed on well under Tony Hamilton to score by two and a quarter lengths. Nov 10th:

Southwell: CRIMSON CLOUD virtually made all under Tony Hamilton to land the second division of the 32Red.com Handicap in good style. Richard said beforehand: “This filly has been a little bit disappointing really because she works to a mark of 90 at home. We’ve put blinkers on her today and hope that will do the trick! She’s in cracking form so we will see.” They certainly appeared to do the trick with the three-year-old daughter of Kyllachy getting her head in front for the first time this year!

Above The Stars stayed on well under Barry McHugh getting up close home to take fourth place only a length and a half behind the winner in the first division of the 32Red.com Handicap.

Ludlow: Ingleby Spirit, having only his second start over hurdles, put in a much more encouraging performance to finish second in the Jeff Taylor 60th Birthday Maiden Hurdle under Brian Hughes.

Nov 5th:

Doncaster: PAUL RETAINS HIS JOCKEYS' CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE!

Having last season become only the third northern rider to win the Flat Jockeys' championship in 110 years, Paul re-wrote the record books by registering back-to-back titles! Unsuccessful in adding to his score on the final day of the season, Paul finished the campaign on 165 winners with De Sousa just four behind on 161.

Hawks Reef put in a promising performance in division two of the Betfred Cock O'The North E B F Maiden Stakes to finish second beaten only three-quarter lengths on only his second career start and Mayson, a handsome colt by Invincible Spirit, ran another blinder to finish second in the Listed Betfred 1350 Shops Nationwide Wentworth Stakes beaten only a neck. Nov 4th:

Wolverhampton: Haadeeth ran a cracker to finish second beaten a short head under George Chaloner in the ATR Breeders' Cup Megasite Now Live Apprentice Handicap. Our 7lb claimer George appears to get on well with James Gaffney’s five-year-old having won on him last month.

Colbyor was another who had to settle for second when going down by a half length in the 32Red Median Auction Maiden Stakes. Paul had the ride.

November 1st:

Redcar: PERSONAL TOUCH got his head in front at the fourth time of asking, following three promising runs, when landing the second division of the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Maiden Stakes. Oct 29th:

Following a 7am inspection the final flat fixture at Ayr went ahead and DOCS LEGACY got us off to a good start when winning the John Smith's Nursery by two and a half lengths under Paul Hanagan. Paul subsequently received a five day ban for what could only be described as a cracking ride. Paul is banned November 12th and 14th - 17th.

We were unlucky not to follow up with Avison in the second race on the card with the three-year-old son of Diamond Green staying on well under a strong ride by Paul but having to settle for second in a photo-finish.

Oct 28th:

Wolverhampton: Hurler And Farmer was another Musley Bank youngster to show plenty of promise on his belated debut when third in the Enjoy The Party Pack Group Offer Median Auction Maiden Stakes this evening. Another to finish third was Claretintheblood in the At The Races Virgin 534 Nursery beaten just one and three-quarter lengths. Lee (Topliss) was in the saddle.

Dundalk: What About You (Colm O’Donoghue) and Johannes (Joseph O’Brien) both put in good performances in the Winter Racing At Dundalk Handicap beaten by the shortest of margins to finish fourth and sixth respectively. The distances were a neck, short head, a half length, head and a head. That close!

Leicester: Tony Hamilton gave DAKOTA CANYON a fine ride when getting up by a head to land the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Fosse Way Maiden Stakes.
